Das ist ja was! I am glad that you use the word abseil instead of rappelle. I always like to try and use these German words when climbing! Looks pretty high! How many meters off the ground are you?

Its about 80 meters over the ground on this picture , the point we started is about 160meters.
I know the word abseiling as official translation for the german "abseilen". I hope it is right, i also know repelling, what is right, or are both right?

Both terms are correct, and both are used in the English language. Most people prefer and use rappell, or just rap for short. But I have herd the occasional person say abseil, and I make an effort to use this term as well.
