Aconcagua walk-in prices February 2018

After an unsupported climb of Aconcagua, I was curious on how much support would have cost. So I walked into an outfitter's office, and said I wanted to climb the normal route unguided.

Prices obtained on February 15th 2018 (so fairly late in the season), without any negotiation, and acting serious but not too knowledgable about the inner workings of the mountain. Oh, plus Coke 5$, beer 8-12$, and helicopter Plaza Argentina to Horcones... 2000$! Who hikes with 2000$ cash on him? 1 USD = 20 ARS at that time. 

It was surprising that the clerk had a well rehearsed 30 minutes speech about my query and plenty of documentation, as if there were people walking in every day and going, "hey, I have not made any previous arrangement before landing in Mendoza, now bring me up Aconcagua".
