My 3 weeks long solo

My 3 weeks long solo

Page Type Page Type: Album

During the summer of 2005 I spent 4 weeks (3 alone) in the Alps. Climbed 11 mountains higher than 4000m and did 8 of them solo. No guides, cablecars, huts and prepared meals. I hope this very personal collection will change into a trip report in the closest future.

Re: Pretty good job!

Thanks a lot, I did all my best. It was very hot summer with short but intensive storms so the conditions were generally good. I wish to live through such an adventure once more so now I plan to try myself soloing in winter :) Wish me luck, I start on 9th of march 2009 in Switzerland.
cheers!

Re: Really like the way you're climbing!

I love that way of climbing. When I'm alone it is always faster and more intense. Congratulations on summiting this fantastic mountain. I'm planning to visit Dufourspitze once again in forthcoming october. Keep climbing ;)

Re: Cool!

and it was an unforgetable trip. I used tent rarely, there are bivy caves above Domhutte and some abandoned huts in the valleys. You may also use Balmenhorn/Bivacco Giordano HUT if on your way. Keep climbing! Cheers, Radek
