Leaving the large snowfields at "trekker's summit" you have to negotiate the final rolling hills that'll take you to the summit of Pik Lenin. There are many false summits and many climbers start to feel desperation if tired. Sometimes it's better to walk on the rocks, sometimes on the snow. To the left on the photo is the drop to the north face of Pik Lenin.
