Scenic fall hike
Used this trail to hike up to the summit of Handies Peak. I used a 4WD Jeep to make it to the upper trailhead and found it to be a little easier than the drive over Cinnamon Pass.
Waterfalls, wildflowers, and views on a beautiful sunny morning in between monsoonal rains.

Wonderfully scenic
Remarkably uncrowded on the trail for a beautiful August day. The roads, however, were full of quad runners and rented jeeps. Saw one family on Cinnamon Pass with a 2wd Highlander. Just goes to show you what a little skill can accomplish.
This was my first summit of Handies. I wanted my son (who was 8-9 then) to succeed, so chose the shortest hike. It was a lovely day, and my kid did so great.
2nd time went up from Grizzly Gulch.

Nice hike
Beautiful day for a summer hike. Lots of other people on the trail, including a group of 20+, one of which was finishing up his 14ers. A top the summit they broke out the champaign to celebrate. Started to sleet and snow just before I got back to the trailhead.
