An avalanche near Loveland...

An avalanche near Loveland Pass on the trail to Mt Sniktau. It was on a SE aspect with a 3 foot crown. It looked like a snowboarder triggered the slide and was able to escape. If you look closely, you can see a line coming from the middle of the photo on the right side, going through the slide, and exiting in the middle of the slide and going out of the photo on the left. The fracture must have propagated above the snowboarder, and released above him/her. He/She was lucky.
