I don't know if the supply comes from a mountain spring higher up, but it might well be, in which case it should be safe to drink. On the other hand, this trough could simply be intended for the livestock roaming free in the Texel Group in the summer, and the water source could simply come from one of the mountain streams. The Schrammbach is close by. 5 August 2012.
