Re: !At that time I was. I believe this shot was taken back in 2006, when they weren't as tame as they are today. They were not used to see people around.
I took this picture below the eastern glacier, which is where we used to go for ice climbing practices back in the day.

Re: Is it the same one?Yes Jane, he/she is. A funny story about this shot is... while I was taking this photo, another wolf (his/her partner) came from behind me and stole the glove I left on the ground while taking this picture.
I chased him/her back and retrieved it, but my heart was getting out of my chest for running at that altitude.

Re: Is it the same one?So, you wear tasty-looking gloves! Do they look like lunch? or is it that the foxes just like attention and getting their photos taken by the climbers..? :)

Re: Is it the same one?jajah!, these "andean wolves" are kind of mischievous but fun to see around. Even though they're tame, they still keep they wild instinct.
A friend of mine got bitten by one of them while he was feeding him.

Wonderful coloursCongratulations! The colours of the wolf and of the rocks of Cotopaxi are so good arranged! I was overther in 2008, but I didn't meet wolfs! Thank you!

Re: Wonderful coloursThanks!. Wolf and rocks are a nice contrast. Now you can see wolves hanging out near the refuge daily. They're so used to see people and love to eat refuge's left overs.
