Climbed all 9 peaks between Gorgonio and Bernardino with BSA Venture Crew 51 from La Mesa, CA. Beautiful weather all Memorial Day weekend!
Another nice peak as we continued our 9 peak traverse.
Hit Shields, Anderson, San Bernardino East and San Bernardino in a 19.3 mile loop via Washington Monument. Great day.
Anderson Peak the last peak we climbed today before getting back to camp just before dark. We had a great view of the sun setting on San Gorgonio.
San Bernardino, Anderson, and Shield's peaks loop via Forsee creek trail.
Went up the Forsee Creek Trail and did a big loop including 5 peaks; Anderson, S.B., S.B. East, Shields and Alto Diablo. Perfect time of year for this hike with temps. in the 50s. About 22 miles total.
Big loop from Forsee Creek, one of 4 peaks on the day.
I climbed this in wintry conditions in 2001, give or take a year.
Took in East San Bernardino and Anderson. Headlamps the whole (long) way down to Forest Falls
Great hike. Ascended Moymer Trail, hit all 9 peaks (excluding Mnt San Gorgonio and including Dobbs Peak) and descended bia Dobbs West Ridge. Check out my Trip Report.
One of four that day. Sign-in book was waterlogged and lots of flies. Poor view.
Came up the divide trail camped at Trail Fork Springs, had a great site overlooking Big Bear. Then back down Forsee
Part of a 4 day excursion.
Walk out to the point for a fantastic view; come on, its only another couple hundred feet! It's worth it, one of my favorite so cal peaks. Did it just after Shields, which is even better.
Third peak of the day and turn-around point. Great views of Jepson, Gorgonio and San Jacinto (covered in smoke). Northwest to Baldy was clear and crisp. No climaxes on this hike but a good workout and a beautiful day to be out.
This was the turn around peak for Deb and I during our 20 miler out in the San Bernadino wilderness. Beautiful autumn day. We could spot flames from the Esperanza Fire from Anderson's summit.
Early Full Moon start on a beautiful day. Bagged Shields, Anderson and San Bernardino East. Didn't have the gas in the tank to get to San Bernardino. Maybe next time.
Peak 7 of 9.
This was our 3rd out of nine during a one day Traverse. Not a bad little peak.
