Argentine Peak (center,...

Argentine Peak (center, foreground) is much less imposing from the northwest than its neighbor Square Top Mountain (right) from the summit of Grays Peak. The Argentine Pass road can be seen cutting diagonally across the west face of the peak to the pass at the left. Behind loom Evans and Bierstadt. July 16, 2005.

can't drive west side

The west side of the pass is closed to vehicle traffic now. It used to be open to vehicles until somebody died driving it. Apparently it was really steep and narrow ;-)
