Argut Gorge below Karaghem, Altay Mtns
Taking a lunch break among riverside cottonwoods. It is a skiing trip, and it is late February, but in these inner valleys of Altay Mountains, there is no snow anymore, just yellow grass and ice. Ahead lies a crampon section of extreme whitewater in the dark, narrow canyon of Argut between Karaghem and Yedyghem.
