Route up the headwall on Ausangate, taken in mid-June 2011. This line is straightforward frontpointing on snow-ice, never more than 50 degrees steepness.
Local 'guides' had fixed a single thick rope way over to the left, anchored at the top of the wall and falling straight down steeper and rockier ground. We ignored this completely and climbed this easier and safer line as marked, downclimbing it on our descent.
