This is another good addition to the desert peaks. I really enjoyed the pics, they really help in getting a feel for this peak.

Road

Drove the road 2.4.12 with a stock 4WD Toyota Tacoma. Stopped at the sharp right and was glad I did because I would not have wanted to drive past there, and the hike was only 8 miles round trip with about 2900' gain from that point; so it would not have saved much to drive that last section after the sharp turn. On the way out I wasn't paying attention and went left at the junction at Mormon Springs. The road got ugly fast that way - we saw that it went out to 127 on the map, but my truck wasn't going to make it out that way; so we backtracked to Mormon Springs and took the correct road out (the one we drove in on - 19.1 miles from Baker). Anyway, the road is okay to 4160' with a stock 4WD truck. If you're braver then I am, you could try driving up higher.
