Axle deep in mud

One of the hazards of 4wheel driving is mud. Bob's 4runner became totally mired in this nasty stretch of Idaho gumbo and it took a special toyota with a strap and huge mud tires to get us out. If anything looks solid in this pic, it is an illusion. The mud would get on your boots and you'd need a shovel to dig it off. We spent the night camped near the vehicle and walked out 20 miles the next day to get help. This was near the highpoint of Gooding county Idaho in 4-16-04
