I returned after 34 years, making good use of brilliant weather. Summited just a little too late to take a good photo of the Tatras, then came back the next morning. A photo TR of my trip can be seen here.
Blue trail, yellow trail up to summit, red trail down to hut, blue trail to trailhead. Roundtrip 3 hours
From Krowiarki Pass. Half of the route in clouds/fog. 0 Celsius on summit. 2 hours for ascent, 1 hour for descent.
from Krowiarki, strong wind and no views from the top
via "Perc Akademicka", nice weather, beautiful views.
Babia is known for its bad weather and so we did have a snow storm, too.
Ski tour from Lipnica
the shortest route from Krowiarki Pass after birthday party.Night ascent (at 3.30 am)and waiting for sunrise..Amazing atmosphere.Fortunatelly it wasn't windy day and the weather was perfect.
above the timber line, must've been 18 years old
Krowiarki Pass->Babia->Krowiarki Pass
Zawoja->Markowe Szczawiny->Perc Akademicka->Babia
Brona Pass->Babia->Brona Pass
Bad weather, I almost lost my way in descent!
Big problems with PKS in Żywiec - because bus drivers decided to have New Year's Day party and didn't work in the evening :)
My favourite mountain in Beskidy
pleasant trip, right on the top got caught by a storm, had a picturesque view towards Mt Pilsko whlie descending
7th March 2004 - Final Day of my solo Babia Gora Ski Tour . Great views but without Tatras' Panorama ...
Downhill by the eastern ridge to Sokolica(1367) and Krowiarki Pass(1012) then by the road to Zawoja .
Today Babia Tomorrow Everest:P
Almost twenty times, from Polish and Slovakian side, mainly in winter. Love that mountain.
Sunny day , but hazy so unfortunately we didn't see much but West Tatras. From the Slovak side it's easy , gentle , well-marked walk.
1998 Summer ascent in a horrible heat using famous "Akademicka Path" . On the summit I had occasion to observe rescue action to a girl who had a few meter fall at "Akademicka Path" (on rocky section with chains) with landing of helicopter on the summit field .
