I took a Triangle Rescue class that summer and we spent the day repelling and solving cliff side problems. It is a neat place that is the perfect setting for training classes, high enough for climbing purposes but small enough for a great learning environment.

Very easy hike in very cool Spring weather. Round trip is only 1/2 mile with little effort. The kind of thing I'll have to do until my injury has healed. Just a stunningly pretty spot. Lots of sheer rock, great water, deep swimming holes, nice trees, and even an impressive waterfall less than 1/2 mile away.

Backbone RockEnjoyed the falls and Backbone Rock. For some reason I decided to head up the ridge a couple miles - but not much besides trees to see.
