While hiking back from an early morning scramble I stumbled upon an enticing sight a short distance from the trail. Rafferty Creek drops 10 feet into a somewhat secluded pool and pauses briefly before continuing its trip down to Tuolumne. I took its cue and paused as well. The day was hot and the water, so cool...!
