Great way to see everything.
Started on River Run trail then scrambled up one of the runs most of the way.
Hiked my bike up to the summit. I am not much for shuttles or lifts. Rode back down the warm springs trail. Hot day.
Hiked the Mt. Baldy trail.
Can't even count how many times I have skied, hiked, and mountain biked(UP and DOWN) on this mountain.
Learned how to ski here when I was a boy growing up in Ketchum(late seventies).
Bald Mountain Trail...recovery hike from climbing Grays Peak the day before. Beautiful day and obviously a local favorite. Took the chairlift and gondola down. Hey...i've gone down on foot many times before...just with boards strapped to my feet. The climb to the summit this time allows me to consider this one finally "bagged."
Skined up Warm Springs in the afternoon and spent an hour on the old fire tower on top. Great views and a cold strong west wind. Great snow all the way to the bridge over Warm Springs Creek. 1st time skiing down in May!
It's a strange experience walking up this mountain. You can hear garbage trucks, car horns and construction from the valley nearly half way to the top. Great views though.
Mt. biked up on a 93 degree day, ran out of water, bad news!
This mountain is much bigger without skis!!!
Did the annual snowshoe race, got to the top in 1:15! Woo hoo!
I basically grew up on this mountain. First skiing then hiking it. I have summited Baldy in ever month of the year and have been hiking it for the past 5. I have been and almost won 2 of the 3 annual races held here every year.
