Climbed Banner Peak with SMG from the saddle. Then it was off to Ritter and a killer weekend.
Camped at Ediza Lakes (lots of bugs). Easy climb, very little 3rd class. Climbed North Face of Ritter afterwards.
Climbed with SMG from the Ritter-Banner saddle. Approach from Lake Ediza.
Climbed from RB saddle with Sierra Mountaineering Group. 1000 feet of talus and scrambling wasn't as bad as the photo makes it appear. Spectacular summit and view!
Super fun, super beautiful.
Climbed with Justing on a clear summer day. Started from Garnet Lake. Longer route than we expected, but great views. Descended R/B saddle and traversed back to Garnet with a full moon.
Really long single day push from Silver Lake. Lots of snow still above Thousand Island Lake.
Got within about 700 vert feet of the top, but still had a great time and an interesting mountain rescue experience on the way back. Read about that here: http://www.summitpost.org/ordeal-on-mt-ritter/734852
Made the summit around 1pm via the Glacier Route
climbed with Pookie, Ray, Valerie, Jess. Jess' first time out backpacking since she was a child. Valerie was suffering from mid-life crisis.
Camped out at 1000 Island, great view from the summit
Nice challenging scramble and usual beautiful views from the summit. Good place to escape from mosquitos too!
The Minarets and surrounding area and lakes was more memorable than the actual climb. Nice views atop the blocky-summit. The climbing became more fair 3rd class closer to the summit. Day hike
First part of a Banner-Ritter-Clyde link-up. An ugly climb of a nice peak.
R-B saddle from 1000 Island Lake
Up from the saddle between RnB. Neve Ice was a bit scary...
Ascended to the saddle in firm snow conditions. got rain and hail on the way down.
Left from Thousand Islands lakes with AJ and Boris. Climbed Mt Davis day before. After descending Banner summit, packed up camp and returned to Agnews Meadows TH via river trail.
Approached from: Agnew Meadows TH/Shadow Lake/R-B Saddle. Returned via: North Glacier/Lake Catherine/1000 Isle Lake/River Trail. A fun day out.
Left from 1000 Island Lake and climbed over North Glacier Pass. Great view from the summit.
