Bartlett
A nice bushwack. We started late in the day so we didn't get to Shumard but we went down Pine Springs Canyon to get to car and saw a Mexican Spotted Owl

A nice little hike from Bush Mtn CG
The hike/bushwack from Bush Mountain Campground was not as bad as I had anticipated. Made it from the campground in about an hour. I spent a few minutes signing the register and relaxing before moving on to Shumard Peak.

From Bush Mtn cg with Shumard
After spending a surprisingly cold night at Bush Mountain back country campsite, we headed out toward Bartlett Peak, then onto Shumard Peak. The rocky desert bushwhacking was surprisingly challenging, not to mention crawling in and out of all those drainages. I confess I was plum tuckered by the time we got back to camp that afternoon!
