Bear climbing

Another view of the bear on the Big Creek Trail (Selway Bitterroot Wilderness, MT--an approach route to the Heavenly Twins, this time in the act of climbing the tree. It was amazing how quickly and nimbly the bear climbed the tree, it left me with no doubt that the way to escape a black bear is not climbing a tree. July, 2005.
