Curtis (my son) and I were visiting Shenandoah and climbed to the top of Bearfence Mountain. There we ran into a Episcopalian Men's Group that had the annual rite of celebrating communion on top of the mountain every year. They invited us to join in, which we did.
An absolutely perfect day for a hike. I took the day off of work and came up to Shenandoah just because I felt like it. The views on Bearfence were great and the scramble was lots of fun. First time I'd done this hike in a few years.
This was a fun climb, sunny and very windy.
Nice day in the mountains, but cloudy in the Shenandoah Valley. This was a fun hike due to the class 2 rock climbing.
