colouir

Is there any interesting climbing route in that characteristic colouir there ?

Re: colouir

I am not aware of any route in the couloir itself. Glacier Park rock is absolutely horrible with little opportunity for placing protection. The deep couloirs like this one are generally avoided, because they tend to also be wet with a LOT of rock fall. The route on this peak goes up the face to the left of the couloir - the further left you go, away from the couloir, the easier it gets.

couloir

I climbed Bearhat this past summer, and the couloir didn't look particularly easy. As Moni mentioned, lots of crappy, wet, snowy rock, even as late as early September (before fall snow started). The best route is anywhere left of said coulior. We stayed pretty close to it and had a wonderfully fun time climbing.
