Beautiful Elecampane

Elecampane (Inula helenium) is also often called Horse-heal. It likes damp areas near mountain streams up to 1500 meters. Its root (Radix Inulae) has been used for medicinal purposes. Photographed in the Low Beskid near Black Creek - July 01, 2007.
