Beautiful Spiller Creek Canyon near Matterhorn Peak

Looking roughly southeast. This is the canyon that leads to the northernmost and final pass on the Sierra High Route--Horse Creek Pass. This pass is located between Matterhorn Peak and Twin Peaks. Some of the peaks in Tuolumne Meadows are visible in the distance. Photo taken August 30, 2006.
