First summit of a three week vacation  Sucess!

Climbed Becca d'Aver and Cima Longhede for the second time after 15 years. Slightly better weather than in 2002 though Matterhorn was virtually invisible. Good first hike on a three week vacation

Route Climbed: Verrayes up, and Saint Barthelemy down Date Climbed: 11 september 2001  Sucess!

I was completely alone all day. When I came back at the car, and turn on the radio I had difficulties in understanding what happened.

When you spend a whole day in such a heaven, coming back on (hell) earth is very hard. In that tragical day, it was more than terrible.

Route Climbed: Lago di Lozon - Becca d'Aver Date Climbed: September 2002  Sucess!

After a week of rain this was the first day of our Valle d'Aosta vacation on which we actually could dare to climb a summit. Decided us on Becca d'Aver and were rewarded with a nice Matterhorn, Breithorn and Emilius view. Everything else decided to hide behind the clouds. Have a Rutor picture which I don't dare to post here - just too much mist in between. Did the traverse to Cima Longhede which has a nicely exposed summit (south face). Met no people the whole day
