Beginning the cross country part

Just after passing past Dry Gulch Creek, we followed the trail until we saw what was the way we wanted to go. Bob Bolton's party had gone this way three weeks before and the goal was to bypass the cliffy section and find our way up to the ridgeline (see arrows) There was no trail from this point on. 9-26-10
