Re: BoyYes!, we really had lots of snow in July. I wish you could see how much more snow we had a day after this pictures was taken.
Our plan was to climb Illiniza Sur as well, but we couldn't even leave from the refuge because of avalanch danger. Anyway we had a great time two days later at Cotopaxi Summit.
I think you'll find Illiniza Norte in the same conditions by January 2011 cause it's loaded right now.

Is it okay to set up my tent outside the refuge of Illinizas?
I am reaaaaaally short of money and sleep outside would help me to save some more!

Re: Boyyes, you'll end up paying just for the camping spot but you'll allowed to use their facilities. You can set your tent anywhere, though.
