Beware of Flash Floods
The Power of Water in the Desert
This truck was washed off of the Calico Basin Road (in Redrock National Conservation Area) on October 11th, 2012, while trying to to cross flood waters flowing down the normally bone-dry Calico Basin Wash. This photo serves as a reminder of the risk involved in crossing flowing water in desert washes during inclement weather in Southern Nevada.
