Biała Lądecka Valley near head
One of the wildest nooks in the Sudetes – the overwhelmingly green, tranquil valley of the Biała Lądecka south of the village of Bielice, about a mile past the forester's house, that is about two miles from the sources of the river. A moment before I observed a pair of great raptors, which looked like young golden eagles, soaring into the air. (As far as I know, the species has been reintroduced into the Sudetes in recent years.) The elevation of the ridge on the left is a little more than 900m (Pasieczna at 928m).
