Big Chiwy - west basin

Looking down on the west basin from the summit on Sept. 10, 2006. We came up via the basin but went down via the spur ridge seen at left. It's a push which way is easier. The basin requires some steep climbing to get out of but the ridge is not as direct and cumbersome at times.
