Big Slide and Basin

Big Slide would be straight ahead in the distance and Basin towards the right. It was odd for me to see Basin really tree covered like that. I was used to seeing it from the St. Hubert's side where you see the rocks.

Great set of pix!

Haystack is next on our list and these pix and wonderful descriptions really help to give folks a good idea of what the hike is like. I admire your dedication too - doing this in one day with a drive from (and back to) Jersey is pretty insane. But cool too...

Thanks! I think Haystack has one of the best views in the Adirondacks. It's a tough hike, but definitely worth it.
