Big Trout Creek

Big Trout Creek

Big Trout Creek with a beaver dam across it. Although this creek has been landlocked for thousands of years and is a hundred miles from the nearest significant river, it has trout and beavers in it.

Re: There must be some

I've read that Nevada Fish and Game planted rainbows in this watershed in the 40's, which pretty much wiped out the indigenous Lahontan Cutthroat. With that said, my dad tells me back in the late 50's they regularly drug some monsters out of here. anymore I dont think its as good of a fishing destination.
