Just wondering if these were taken recently because it looks like there's still quite a bit of snow. CJ
Thank you CJ, yes, these were taken during our hiking/camping trip July 8th-10th of this year. There was plenty of snow on the ground after Spearhead Lake. The switchbacks just above Spearhead bordered on unsafe to travel on. The creek crossing at the outlet to Timberline Tarns was 18" under water. We ended up going cross country at this point and discovered a whole new mini-ridge and high point looking down on Saddle Rock Lake and Bishop Lake.
Thank you very much, SenadR. I love the Sierras when there is still plenty of snow on the ground.
Thanks for dropping by,
Wonderful photography, Marc!
You're too kind, Eric. Your comments make me want to sit down and improve the album further.
Thanks a million.
You are too kind, Trevor. I couldn't be happier to know that you enjoy my work.
Happy trails to you too. Marc
