Bishops Cap, western approach

Bishops Cap, western approach

The approach to Bishops Cap via the Highline Trail and the west side of the Garden Wall. The route on the right stays directly in the drainage and is the easiest way up, but very loose. The route on the left is about as far left as one would want to go. The wall can be climbed anywhere in between. With care in route finding and a willingness to detour on occasion, nothing harder than class 3 need be climbed on the approach. Photo (late summer) and graphics by Fred Spicker.
