My experience

Not an easy route, but not a difficult one either for an experienced hiker and good weather. Weather is an issue in North Norway, expect even under 10 degrees even in August. Also it can change a lot very fast. You have to get to the starting point by car, there are 2 starting points (2 parking places)(69.73239784668228, 18.64006519317627, 69.73605459156005, 18.64079475402832). You can get there by taxi but is probably around (200-300NOK) and you will have to get back as well. The starting point is about 23 km from center Tromso and a lot of people will go by bike. There are not so many paths, there is one for trekking and one for rock climbers (the north face, I dont know the grade for it). For trekkers, while watching the mountain the path goes up, then left, attacking up the mountain and going back to center as it goes up. I can provide a better path probably if you PM me. The path is not properly marked (like most in Norway), you will have only some small rock pyramids from time to time, but in the upper part orientation is a little difficult. I do not recommend this trekk in winter unless you are a very experienced climber. In Tromso there is also polar night from late October to February so light hours are reducing.
Have fun!

Re: My experience

Thanks for updating some of the information. I'll incorporate it into the main text when I have the time.
