Black Peak

Seen from the summit of Corner Peak. Black Peak is one of the highest peaks in the Gros Ventres. The shortest route, from Swift Creek, is about 18 miles RT and is Class 2-3. The easiest route, from Crystal Creek, is over 20 miles RT. This is a peak for wilderness lovers. Gros Ventre Range, WY-- July 2009
