Snow

I see a dust of early autumn snow on the upper slopes but I can not tell if the snow in the center of the picture is a snowfield that survived all summer. Does the north face of Blanca have a permanent snowfield? 2012 was so hot and dry.

The north face supposedly always has some snow/ice below it, but since some of the other "permanent" snowfields (i.e. Snowmass) disappeared last summer, it is possible that after several seasons of below normal precip, this one could too.
