Blooming skunkberry

Blooming skunkberry

after a spring snowstorm in Wasatch foothills. 4/16/08 Rhus trilobata, a distant but benign cousin of poison ivy, is best known for its red berries encrusted with crystals of citric acid. Lick a few for super-tart, pinesap-tinged taste!
