A column of mystical, blue light intrudes a short distance into the sensuous depths of Upper Antelope Canyon near Page, AZ. Imaged about 1 p.m. in June 2003.
Good photo Mark, seen a lot of photo's of this canyon and the colors always amaze me, must be a great place to be.
Thanks, Pvangeenen! It is a great place to visit. That whole part of Arizona (the Navajo Nation) is full of mystical, almost religious sights. It's easy to understand why the Native Americans consider it sacred ground. --mark d.
Agree with Pierre, he said it well.
Thanks for looking, Dean! --mark d.

a super shot!
Thanks, Icypeak. I especially appreciate the comment from someone who has one of the very best shots on SP (your "Weissmies, Switzerland" image)!
I love the atmosphere on this picture.
Thanks, Mark. You have some nice work, too. You may just be a budding photographer!
Great timing to be there at the exact time to get this shot.
I aspire to have the vision for this kind of photography.
Don't let me kid you: A lot of time it's just luck. I did not see that column when taking the photo--not until after the film was developed did I see what I'd captured. Thanks for stopping by and commenting! --mark d.
