Bob, Matthew, and Rick below Cox Col with Toe Lake, Lake Italy and Mt. Hilgard, respectively, behind them. The easiset approach from here to the base of Mt. Hilgard is along the north shore of Lake Italy (the larger of the two) to the outlet of Lake Italy.
