Broad Haven

Broad Haven is a magnificent broad (appropriately) beach that sits neatly between St. Govan's Head in the west and the Stackpole Head Area in the East. The climbing interest of this area comes from Church Rock, which is the offshore stack in the centre of the photograph; and Star Rock, the detached block of cliff on the right hand side. Both features have one route each recorded on them, both of which are graded as Severe. As you might guess, getting out to Church Rock presents something of a challenge. Pembroke (September 2009).
