Brown Knapweed (Centaurea jacea - Polish: Chaber) is a species in the genus Centaurea, growing on dry meadows and open woodlands. It grows to 10–80 cm tall, and flowers mainly from June to September. The Low Beskid – Slope of Mount Kopa – August, 2008.
