Windy walk
Hiked from Pine Springs on Tejas Trail, camped at Bush Mountain campground the day before. Easy trail to rounded summit. Park warned of winds to 90mph, we briefly experienced 50-60mph in two saddles on other side of Bush.

A Twofer, #2
After hiking up Guadalupe the day before, I decided to do Hunter, went up the Bear Canyon Trail, which as Scott said is steep but a great trail, lots of steps but good tread, not rocky like the other trails. When I got down to the Tejas trail, I decided to hike over to Bush as well, higher but just a plain, rounded summit. 15 miles RT.

I can't remember the date of my climb, but there is the wreckage of an Army Air Corps bomber off the Bush Mountain Trail about halfway between the Bush Mountain and Pine Top campsites.

Backpacking
Went up the Tejas Trail to the Blue Ridge Trail, camped at the Blue Ridge Campsite, hiked the Bush Mountain Trail back to the Tejas Trail and back down. Great hike!

From Bush Mtn cg then out-hiked
Woke up at camp, summited this peak, then packed up camp. We hit Hunter Peak on the way out, then descended from the high country via Bear Canyon. Great day, great area, great trip.
