NIce page. What is the elevation gain from base to top, or from the trailhead to the summit?
Very good page! .
Thanks for pointing error out, have changed the Lat,Lon,hope it's right now.
Right on! Thanks for putting up a page for this mountain (the first I can remember climbing as a kid).
Question: you say Cadair Idris is the 3rd tallest outside of the Snowdon Group. I know about 2,971-ft Aran Fawddwy a few miles to the NE of Cadair Idris, but I couldn't figure out what or where the other peak is.
A noteworthy link: List of Cymru Peaks.
Thanks for pointing that error out,i meant the Snowdon massif was highest followed by The Arran, then Cadair, better to put 2nd.May put the Arran's on next when i have more time. Thanks for the Link too.
Good arete route. Idris' chair looks pretty good from Mark's chair.
Really great work with some stunning photos!
Many thanks, ill try and get some of the south and horseshoe in a couple of weeks.
Your first page and such a beauty! Two minor suggestions: you can put in a signature pic (while editing just insert the picture's number) and perhaps attach more of the pictures to the main page. Per section only five will be shown directly. And David's right: you forgot the points an the coordinates
Can't wait to see your next one :-))
Many thanks Tim,also, had an email from my friend who's a guide in Lanjarron,he said that a group of Dutch climbers had got into trouble on Mulhacen, some fatalities, very sad news.
About the Mulhacen: My information is that a group of 10 mainly older people were under escort of a tourleader who was never been in that region before. The group wasn't wll prepared when a snowstorm hit them. Seems that they had to leave 3 dying people behind. Very sad indeed.
Walles looks great to me, i am sure i go there one day!!
Many thanks,Wales is full of great climbing and should not be missed.
Many thanks for your vote on the page, but its better to visit Cadair Idris and Wales than to visit it on the summitpost!
If you want to return as a poet or a madman, yes you have to spend the night on Cadair, but you must do so ALONE for the curse to take affect!
