Calyptridium umbellatum

Calyptridium umbellatum

Also known as Pussy Paws, this charming wildflower lifts its flowers off the ground when it's hot and lowers them as the sun sets and the temperature cools down. Photo taken above Winnemucca Lake on July 16, 2008.
