"Got tight last night on absinthe and did knife tricks. Great success shooting the knife into the piano. The woodworms are so bad and eat hell out of all furniture that you can always claim the woodworms did it."

Poor healthAttacked Pic de Campbieil from Lac de Cap de Long. Lost our way during the ascent from the lake to the top of the first big terrain step. Returned to find the correct path. During the ascent to the second step my blood circulation went wild and I barely made it to the top of the step at some 2850m. After having lunch decided against the summit but rather the saddle of Hourquette de Cap de Long. Wonderful panorama at 2950m. Health returned but with all the losses before lunch we decided we lacked the time to attack the last 200m to the summit

Pic d'Estaragne and CampbieilBoth 3000s tackled from the trailhead where the D 929 crosses over the little Estaragne creek. Nobody except me, my buddy, and plenty of "chamois"

Nice dayand spectacullar panorama of all the peaks of the area. In the last section we used the crampons and ice-axe to climb the west face.
