Time (daylight) is running out for long attempts like this one. If I try it again this year, it will be before the end of September and I'll go for the south ridge rather than the north ridge which is definitely Class 4 and exposed.
If you're interested, I'll give you a heads-up by the 18th. I'm committed until then.

Re: techy questionYes. The rock is good and there are widely spaced trees all the way to the summit which have been used by others for protection and belay.
Do you think you'll try it this year? You might contact Ben Johnson (an SPer); he's been up that route at least twice.
