Re: Technical and non-Technical

Have you/know anyone who may have utilized South Ridge via the tail on the sawtooth ridge? Comfortable w/ class three, but a few areas in slope angle shading make me skeptical of the feasibility.

Approach from 8,118  Sucess!

Difficult scramble through alot of brush, climbs over (sometimes loose) granite boulders and ledges to the top. Views were amazing throughout. No snow anywhere at all.

NW Ridge and N face  Sucess!

Just summitted Hilton the day before so I was a little wiped out. Took NW ridge from Old Caribou lks trail. Lots of ups and downs on ridge towers. Then dropped down steep rock gully to N face snow slopes. Easy snow and scramble to summit from there. Great view of white Trinities, and lots of snow this year. Took snow slopes down N face then XC through trees and slabs back up to old caribou trail at about 7,000 ft. Bathed in creek crossing near trailhead. Great views, wild envirnoment, very isolated. Nice!

Technical and non-Technical  Sucess!

Summitted via two routes. One was a moderate scramble (class 4) from Caribou lake. The other, while not to the summit of Caribou itself, climbed a wonderful granite dome towering above Josephine Lake with Captain Insane-o. Some of the best climbing I've ever experienced.
