"After the first glass, you see things as you wish they were. After the second, you see things as they are not. Finally, you see things as they really are, which is the most horrible thing in the world."

Northwest WashVery fun peak! Loved the terrain and loved the scrambling. Great weather - sunny and warm!

Winter fun near the KofaMy friend Jerry who has a winter spot on the Colorado River outide of Yuma invited me on this one. Did it in 2006 again I think. Up the wash, then the scramble up by the thumb. We climbed under the chockstone on the route with a little exposure. At top windy and sunny with beautiful views. Military guys sign in a lot up here. We went a different way down and cliffed out; descended a gully down a dry waterfall chute. Later we went to some mudwalled slots and tried to get to Big Eye mine but ran out of time.

Lost RouteA solo day trip with Honda from Tucson.
Bit of a stretch in both vehicle and 4th class.
Came up DPS wash from NW, then SW face. Placed
ducks to mark route, but lost them for a couple
panicky minutes on descent.
Register on top showed a _lot_ of traffic.
